occurs. Positive feedback upsets the balance.Example of Positive Feedback: Your body causing you to have contractions
during childbirth, until the baby has been expelled from your body Example of Negative Feedback: Your body sweating to cool you off when
you get too warm, and shivering when you get too coolSigns of Homeostatic Imbalance: Some signs are low energy and dysfunctional
digestion.

to fight infection clots open wounds to decrease blood loss and
prevent the lowering of blood pressure, and keeps body temperature
at a stable point.Levels of Organization: Blood Cells, Tissue, Heart, Circulatory SystemExample of Negative Feedback: High blood loss, resulting in a decrease of blood
pressure, cause receptors to tell the "control center", and causes the heart to begin
contracting faster.
Example of Positive Feedback: The increase in white blood cells when the body is
infected or sick, until the infection has been controlled and eliminated.

water, urea, and other substancesLevels of Organization: Cells, Tissue, Organ, Excretory SystemExample of Negative Feedback: The kidneys controlling the amount of water
in the blood by excreting more or less water in urine.
Example of Positive Feedback: Urine builds up in the bladder until it is about
half full, after which a nerve impulse is sent to the sphincter that controls
the opening to the urethra. In response to the impulse, the sphincter relaxes
and lets urine flow into the urethra.

keep different parts of the body at a stable point.Levels of Organization: Cells, Glands, Organ, Endocrine SystemExample of Negative Feedback: The release of the parathyroid hormone from the parathyroid
gland in response to a decrease in blood calcium, and, conversely, a reduction of parathyroid
production in response to high calcium levels.
Example of Positive Feedback: The secretion of the hormone oxytocin, which causes contractions
during childbirth, and persists until the child has been expelled from the body.

regulating all the systems and different parts of the body, and acts to
keep the body at a stable point.Levels of Organization: Neuron, Nervous Tissue, Brain, Spinal Cord, Nervous SystemExample of Negative Feedback: When blood temperature rises too high, this is sensed by
neurons in the hypothalamus of the brain, and messages are sent to the blood vessels in the
skin. These blood vessels then dilate so more blood flows close to the body surface and
excess heat radiates from the body. If the body is still too hot, the brain activates sweating.
Example of Positive Feedback: The suckling reflex of the breastfeeding child sends a
signal to the brain to release more prolactin in order to produce more milk in the
mammary glands.

of your body, therefore in order to stay in balance you must stay

and energy delivery to active muscles, your blood vessels shrink
slightly. After your excersise period your blood pressure slowly returns
