Growing up, Tommy has always been a curious little boy. But because his parents were not religious, he had no faith, and had no idea what could happen to him in the future. Since little Tommy was a curious little boy, he wanted to find the truth. But as the sun starts to set, Tommy starts to feeling tired, so he decides to go to bed and start on his journey tomorrow,

As Tommy was heading to bed, he was visited by an angel.
The angel asked him, “Do you, little Tommy, want to explore different religions?”.
As if he was waiting for this question for his whole life, Tommy answered, “Yes! Lovely angel, I would love to explore and learn about some religions!”.
With her hand stretched out, the angel took Tommy’s hand and pulled him into the bright light with her.

Stepping out of the light, Tommy realized that he was in his backyard. But then he sees something that he has never seen in his backyard before - a wooden door! Curious, Tommy walked up to the door and opened it slowly.
On the other side of the door, Tommy found a whole new world. When he turned to look to his right, he saw the angel from earlier.
“Today, you will be learning about something called Buddhism,” said the angel.
Buddhism started a long time ago in South Asia and started when Siddhartha Gautama found nirvana and became Buddha (Brown). But Buddhism does not have any gods, as they believe in supernatural beings to guide them.

“What’s the point of Buddhism?” asked Tommy.
The angel replied, “Well, Buddhists believed that life was in a constant big circle, that was filled with pain and being born again. So, they try to stop this circle by finding a super special experience called nirvana.”
“Nirvana?” Tommy asked, confused.
”Yes! Nirvana. It is the end goal of meditation, and the path to that finish line is through the Eight fold Path. This path is like a special road of eight parts, which are Right View, Right Resolve, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration (Namchak)”, the angel answered.
“So does this mean that if I find nirvana, I can be just like Buddha?” ponders Tommy.
The angel just laughed and smiled at him.

Turning to his left, Tommy finds himself in another world.
“Woah! Lovely angel, what religion is this?” asked Tommy.
“I’m the angel that is part of a religion called Taoism. Our religion was connected to an old philosopher named Lao Tzu, who also happened to write the main book of Taoism, Tao Te Ching (Huston),” the angel responded. “We believed in spiritual living, and taught that all living things should live in a state of harmony with the world. The book, Tao Te Ching, if our guide.”
