Golden eagles can be found from the tundra, through grasslands, intermittent forested habitat and woodland-brushlands, and south to arid deserts and canyonlands.

Golden eagles eat rabbits, hares, ground squirrels, and prairie dogs but they are also capable of killing bigger size animals like deer and seal.
