The Proclamation of 1763Because of the English not upholding their promises to the Indians, many Indian attacks on colonists happened. England did not want to pay for the costs of Indian attacks so
they made settling west of the Appalachian Mountains illegal.
Us colonists feel angry and betrayed!We are British citizens whether you like it or not.
We fought for that land and we DESERVE to settle in it!
We are already in debt from the war, we don’tand you will listen to us! We have no choice but to send
in 10,000 soldiers to keep you colonists in line!

Quartering ActsBritain had to send 10,000 soldiers to ensure that the colonists wouldn’t move where they weren’t supposed to, but there was no room for them. So,
colonists were forced to feed and house British soldiers.
You WILL get our protection!Stop complaining, we are
potentially saving your lives!
You have to pay your share for your
own safety.
We have rights! Property, money, andprivacy rights! You can’t take
those away from us, you can’t make
us feed and house these soldiers.
We won’t let them take our jobs either!
We don’t want your protection Britain!

Townshend ActsDue to rising military costs, colonists had to pay taxes on imported goods.Due to rising military costs, colonists had to pay taxes on imported goods.
Fine! We will repeal this act...on everything but tea. We still have power.
We refuse to pay these ridiculous taxes, we will boycott and protest
against this law.

Tea ActsThe Tea Act was where Britain made it illegal for any other tea company otherthan The British East India Company to sell their tea to the colonies.
Britain were very unhappy about the colonists
reaction, rebellion, and behavior.
We don’t care that tea costs were lowered! We still have to
pay import taxes to you,
Britain! We will boycott and
protest against this, mark our words!

Boston Tea PartyColonists had so much built up anger towards Britain, the Tea Act wasthe last straw. Some colonists dressed up as Natives and in the
night illegally dumped 342 crates of tea into the Boston Harbor.
We are furious! We are so furious that we have decided to pass even more harsh acts
to prevent this from ever happening again!
We will most definitely continue to rebel, boycott, and these ridiculous acts.

Coercive (Intolerable) ActsThese acts, that were passed due to the Boston Tea Party, stopped alltrading between the Colonies and Britain, didn’t allow town meetings,
strengthened the Quartering Act, and highly impacted the economy due to lack of trading.
We WILL have control!!!
We are disgustedly unhappy,it might just be time to rebel.
