In the heart of the Australian bush lived a cheerful wallaby named Wally. Wally was always hopping around, exploring and making friends. But there was one little problem: everyone thought he was a kangaroo!

One sunny morning, Wally hopped into the bustling bush clearing. A group of kangaroos was there, practicing their big jumps. “Hi, everyone!” Wally called out. The kangaroos looked up and said, “Hey, Kangaroo!”

Wally’s ears twitched. “I’m not a kangaroo. I’m a wallaby!” he said, trying to join their practice. But the kangaroos just nodded and continued their jumps.

Feeling a bit puzzled, Wally decided to visit his friend, Tina the Tortoise. “Tina, do you think I look like a kangaroo?” Wally asked. Tina looked up slowly and said, “Well, you do hop like one. But I know you’re a wallaby!”

Wally sighed and hopped off to find his next friend, Max the Magpie. Max was singing a merry tune from his favorite branch. “Hello, Max!” Wally chirped. Max stopped and squawked, “Hello, Kangaroo!”
