Dedicated to my chemistry teacher, Mrs. Razzaque for my summative criterion D!

Once upon a time in Denmark, there was a boy born on Oct 7, 1885 named Niel. Niel was no ordinary boy. He grew up with a curiosity for science that he got from his father who was a professor!

As Niels grew older, he studied physics and became a scientist. He wanted to learn about one of the biggest questions in life; what are we made up of? many scientists had studied atoms, but no one really knew how exactly they worked. neil decided he was going to find out!

He learned that atoms had a tiny middle called a nucleus, made of little, tiny things called protons and neutrons. Around the nucleus, electrons zoomed in circles like little planets around a star. Niel had discovered something amazing! This became known as the Bohr Model of the atom.

How did this impact society you may ask? Well because of Neil's discovery, Scientists learned about how protons and neutrons work and even today we still use his Bohr Model!

There was a lot of good things, and a couple of bad things that came out of his discoveries.
One, he made it easier for us to understand atoms and draw diagrams for them. His research also helped scientists to create technology like computers, lasers and more!
