This is the story of me 

         and 

how my name came to be.

It was October 26, 2002 when a small baby entered the world. Though she came as a surprise, she was instantly adored and cherished.

               I was adored and cherished.  

My Mom was so happy to welcome her precious baby girl to the world. Although she had 9 months to think she was unsure what to name me . My mom wanted my name to be something unique and special.

Mom was surrounded by people who loved her. She valued their opinions. Names were thrown out there for my mom. "Celeste" "Victoria" "Gabriela she can be named after you". None of the names stuck out to her. It wasn't until someone mentioned the name "Lizvet" that she finally felt like it was the one. 

Mom and Dad were happy about the name Lizvet because they had never heard of a name like it. The way it was spelt was different.  

She started introducing me to different family members. When she got to my older sister she was excited. She was just happy to meet the baby that had been in my mom's belly for so long. "What's her name" she asked. Mom responded "Lizvet" it was then that my sister mentioned her late moms name "Patty". 

My anxious father was worried about what my mom would think of the name my sister said. It had nothing to do with his late wife but more to do with the way her sister's treated my mom.
