“Enggang” is the native word for the hornbill bird. Hornbills are birds found in tropical and subtropical Africa, Asia and Melanesia. They are from family Bucerotidae. 

Hornbills have a long, down-curved bill which is frequently brightly coloured. It is their most distinctive feature. Its heavy bill is supported by powerful neck muscles as well as by the fused vertebrae.
