Thinking Hats

The text on which we proposed to work this method

Over rugged hills,Over ragged lands,It came like this, suddenly,The dark autumn.Long, lean and wiry,Baptizing wet natureWith a bundle of cyumafai, -When he shakes with spite,Around her far awayDispel the fanlight rains,dead leaves,Splashes of mud,Guts...And as it comes from the mountain,CursingAnd tearfullyAll the thistles of the valleyThey run through the streets,And the rose hips in the fieldsHe met her on the wayWith hasty bows...Only on the coast, on the climb,From his little houseA cricket came out,Black, small, dipped in inkAnd on wings dusted with frost:– Cri-cri-cri,gray autumn,I didn't think you would come againbefore christmasThat I could gather tooA tiny grain,So that I don't ask for a loanAt my neighbor ant,Because he never gives meAnd then it fills the whole worldThat I went and asked him...But of course,He said with a final voiceLifting a leg,But it was done right away...Cri-cri-cri,gray autumn,He is so small and troubled!

White Hat: Neutral and objective focuses on accurate information and data. It refers to facts, figures, available or necessary information. It does not generate ideas, but only premises for their generation, it defines the information we have and that we are looking for, it defines the questions that must be asked. It is a disciplined and neutral thinking.

Yellow Hat: Positive, optimistic, constructive suggests hope. It focuses on benefits and positive aspects. "Shining" hat, pushes to search, logical but optimistic,, speculative-positive, develops plans and pushes forward, is constructive, speculative thinking, capitalizes on opportunities.

Red Hat: Eminently subjective and emotionally charged hat, expresses affective states in terms of like or dislike (aesthetic sense). It is an individual hat, it does not force a rational opinion. Passionate, emotional, affective, provides emotional, subjective opinions.

Black Hat: Sober and serious, cautious, it is the hat of problems, criticisms and precautions, it highlights the weak points of an idea or theory. It prevents us from doing risky things, protects us from mistakes. It gives us hints "why the solution wouldn't work", tests on "white hat" decisions.

Blue Hat: Cool, superior, is the coordination hat. Aims at control, organizes the thinking process and the efficiency of the other hats. It is not aimed at a process itself, but at the process of thinking. Determine the order of the hats. It is like the conductor of an orchestra, managing the thinking effort of the other hats.

Green Hat: Hat of unleashed energy, of vegetation, of fruition. Fertile, abundant in ideas, it is the hat of creativity, of change, of alternatives, of proposals, of what is interesting and provocative. Lateral Thinking techniques can be used here. Follow asymmetric solutions. Challenging absurdity, challenging thought in a humorous way.

ELİFE SELDA BAHAR/CUDİBEY SECONDARY SCHOOL/TRABZON/TÜRKİYE

CAULDRON-NASREDDIN HODJA

Nasreddin Hodja is a famous character in Turkish folklore. His stories are both funny and educational. He teaches people to think wisely and in different ways. In 1996, UNESCO organized celebrations for the 800th anniversary of Nasreddin Hodja's birth. This shows how valuable his stories are.

One day, Nasreddin Hodja went to his neighbor and asked to borrow a large cauldron.

The neighbor gladly lent the cauldron to him.

A few days later, Hodja returned the cauldron, with a smaller pot inside. The neighbor asked, “Hodja, what is this small pot inside my cauldron?” Hodja replied, “Congratulations! Iit gave birth to a little pot.”

A few days later, Hodja asked to borrow the cauldron again. Thinking he might get another “bonus,” the neighbor borrowed it happily.

Days turned into weeks, and the cauldron was not returned. Finally, the neighbor asked for his cauldron back.

Hodja said, “I have bad news, my friend. The cauldron died.”

“Died?!” the neighbor shouted angrily. “How can a cauldron die?”

Hodja calmly replied, “If you believed it could give birth, why can’t you believe it could die?”

The play that the children made at Christmas had many of the customs of our country such as Santa Claus, Goblins, Elves, fairies, snowflakes and stars. Through the shadow theater we represented the birth of Christ.
