Once upon a time, in a land called the Netherlands, there lived a noble prince named William.

He was known as William of Orange, and he had a heart full of courage and a spirit full of kindness. The people loved him because he always stood up for what was right.

But in those days, the land was ruled by a mean king named Philip, who lived far away in Spain. King Philip wanted to control everything and didn’t care about the wishes of the Dutch people. They were unhappy because they had to follow strict rules and pay heavy taxes. The people missed their freedom and longed for a fair ruler.

“We can’t let King Philip take away our happiness! Let’s work together to fight for our freedom!”
One day, William decided it was time to help his friends and the people of the Netherlands.

William called a meeting with all the brave people from different towns. Farmers, merchants, and craftsmen came together, each bringing their hopes and dreams. They formed a group called the “Brave Dutch,” and together they planned to stand up against the king’s unfair rules.
As the sun rose one morning, the Brave Dutch gathered in the fields, ready to show King Philip that they would not be pushed around any longer. They marched with flags flying high, led by William, who rode a strong horse and wore a bright orange cloak that shimmered in the sunlight.

When they reached the king’s soldiers, who were blocking their path, William bravely stepped forward. “We do not wish to fight, but we will not let you take our freedom!” he declared. The soldiers were surprised by his bravery and strength.

To everyone's astonishment, many soldiers began to question their orders. They remembered their own families and loved ones back home. One by one, they dropped their weapons and joined William and the Brave Dutch!
