Slow and steady wins the race

Larry the rabbit and Brian the turtle were talking one day.
"Brian," said Larry, "I am the fastest runner in the forest. And I bet you are the slowest runner in the forest."

"Don't be so sure," said Brian
"I may not be as slow as you think."
Brian was so tired of hearing Larry brag all the time.

Brian said, "How about a race?"
"Lets do it!" said Larry

Brian and Larry asked Willy the Fox to help with the race.

“Ready, set,go!” yelled Willy
Larry took off speedy quick and was far ahead in no time.
Brian slowly kept going. He kept this tune in his head. Slow and steady wins the race.

Larry was so far along and began feeling a little tired. He looked back and could not see Brian. “A little nap will do me good,” thought Larry.
Larry sat down next to a tree and soon he was sleeping. Larry slept for a long time.
