CHAPTER 1

IT´S A REALLY NICE CITY

Guanajuato is an extremely interesting place to visit, it is not very modern, but its streets are full of baroque and neoclassical buildings.

It´s a really beautiful place, and people are pretty friendly.

Two of its cities are consideral world heritage sites by UNESCO.

They are not very well know, though. It´s fairly accesible.

You can get there by road, by bus or by plane. The weather is nice. Summers get pretty, hot, however.

Dolores Hidalgo is really amazing. This is the place where in September 16, 1810.

Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla revelated himself against the terrible goverment of New Spain.

What can we do in Guanajuato?

You can´t miss the Cervatino International Festival it Is too crowded, but it´s the most important festival in Latin America.

You can eat at restaurant La Bella Epoca. It has enchiladas or walnut mole with rice. You should try the guaVa strudel and the rompope cake.

One of my favorite places to visit are the narrow stairs of the alley of the kiss, it´s a place very romantic for couples, and you shouldn´t leave witHout visitng the Guanajuato mummy museum. There you can admire more than 100 mummies exhumed between 1865 and 1969.

CHAPTER 2

ALISON: Hi!

GRACE: Hi, Alison? I´m Grace.

ALISON: Hey, How are you? How was your weekend?

GRACE: It was great, but now. I don´t feel so well. 

Last Saturday I cooked spicy pork for dinner.  

I have a stomachache and a headache also.

I think, I ate to much!

ALISON: Oh, that sounds bad! It´s sometimes helpful to drink ginger tea or why don´t you try Buscapina pills? And it´s important to see a doctor.

ALISON

IT´S IMPORTANT TO GET REST.

GRACE: I will do it, thanks.

Could you give me some advice?

What do you suggest for a sunburn?

Yesterday, some friends invited to Elisa to play on the beach and she came back with some sunburns.

ALISON: Why don´t you try to apply some aloe vera ointment on the skin? It´s excellent!

GRACE: Ok, I´ll try it. Thank you so much!

ALISON: You´re welcome.

GRACE: Bye!
