He saw the blacksmith, an old wise man 

from the village who was well respected and 

trustworthy so the sheep said, “The farmer's 

boy is being attacked by the wolf”, the black 

smith got a pitchfork and ran to the field 

with the sheep, he got there and realized 

there was no wolf to be seen so he looked at 

the sheep and said, “Sorry buddy but there is 

no wolf here, it's just the watch dog and the 

boy playing.”   The sheep realized the 

Blacksmith was right and was able to relax 

again.

About a week later the sheep had seen the boy 

just a few minutes ago by the fence but now he 

couldn't seem to find him again.   After a few 

minutes passed and still no boy he panicked once 

more, but worse, this time he was convinced it 

was the wolf and not just the dog playing.   So he 

searched and searched and searched some more 

before finally finding the boy getting his face 

attacked by the same wolf.   The sheep had 

dementia so he couldn't remember that it was just 

the dog.   Once more he ran as fast as his little 

feet could carry him to the village and once more 

found the blacksmith.

The blacksmith didn't believe the sheep so he 

didn't follow.   The sheep still panicking raced over 

to the neighbors house.   The neighbor and the 

blacksmith were good friends so the neighbor 

knew the sheep wasn't telling the truth and didn't 

waste his time telling the sheep to leave.   On his 

way to the third house the sheep forgot what he 

was running around for so he returned to the field 

to be welcomed by all the other sheep asking why 

he kept running off at random times...
