Dog and Cat were best friends.
They played together every single day.

One sunny afternoon, they ran through the garden.
“Catch me if you can!” Dog yelled to Cat.

As they ran, Dog tripped over a rock.“Oh no!” Dog gasped.

Cat’s favorite blanket was lying on the ground.
Dog's paw had ripped a hole in it!

“cat’s going to be so mad.” dog thought.

So Dog hid the blanket behind a bush.

Later, Cat looked around.

“Have you seen my blanket, Dog?” Cat asked.

Dog shook his head.

“No… I haven’t seen it,” Dog said guiltily.

cat sits on the ground, looking sad, while Bear watches with worried eyes. But the blanket seemed to scream,"Fix me please!"

“That blanket was my favorite,” cat said sadly

dog felt a big lump in his tummy.
It was the kind of lump you get when you’re keeping a secret.
