My book's character traits are kindness, respect and empathy.

     There  was a girl who had everything she wanted. She had toys that cost an arm and a leg,went to  a private school, and lived in a mansion.

        I want it,and so I will have it! 

Her name was Zoe.If Zoe didn't get what she wanted, she would say:

 One day, Zoe got a letter from the schoolboard.

Zoe, you are mean to other students and never pay attention in class. You are expelled from the school until your behavior improves. Please let your parents know.

Zoe hopped off the bus and walked home after a tiring day of school. She waited expectantly at the door for her mom's cheery hello, but when she stepped inside, her parents had their hands over their eyes and they were shaking their heads at Zoe. Then Zoe realized the gloominess was about the note that was sent home from school.

Zoe felt so bad that she stayed in her room until dinner.

  As her parents ate a meal of  spaghetti and fudge, Zoe stared up at her ceiling and wished she could disappear. But then Zoe's mom called her to the living room. She looked sad and definitely angry, but she tried to stay positive for Zoe.

 I know you are sad about the school thing, but let's talk about it at the cafe. 

It's useless, I'll never be happy again!

I HATE this! Take me hoooooooomee!!!!!!!

  Zoe let her mom walk ahead as she pouted and whined, demanding to go back home. But this time, no one got her what she wanted. In fact, not one single person even listened.

After she walked in to the cafe, Zoe's mom sat her down, looking disappointed. " Zoe... we need to talk. I know you have a lot more than other people, but you can't treat them differently. I've been getting messages from your teacher.... and we need to figure something out. I am going to put you back in school if you are KIND. Listen, there's a new girl at school and I want you to be nice to her, okay? That night, Zoe got back into school.

That morning, Zoe got dressed and packed her lunch. She tried to keep a positive 

attitude and a smile on her face. When 

the bus stopped in front of Zoe's house, she was ready. But as the school day progressed, she realized the new girl was 

getting not the shy, quiet student she had 

expected. Instead, the girl was hogging 

all the attention that used to be Zoe's.

But when Zoe got home, she didn't tell her parents. Instead, she thought long and hard. How could a new girl be so much better than her?  

The next morning at school, Zoe's class went on a field trip. But everyone wanted to sit next to the new girl, Emily. Zoe sat alone, in the back seat of the bus. It was cold and there was gum sticking on the seats. Whenever Zoe moved, the gum made a gross noise. She saw that Emily was chatting with all the friends that had left Zoe to be friends with Emily.

 Soon, the class arrived at the beach. It had just rained and everything was sparkly.

The teacher paired them up. Unfortunately, Zoe got stuck with Emily.
