One summer afternoon, a light rain started to fall, but Emma wasn’t going to let that stop her. She had been planning to ride her bike to the lake and couldn’t wait to train for the big race coming up. Emma’s brother, Max, had told her that the main path to the lake might be too muddy, so they decided to take a different route.

As they started their ride, Emma saw a small trail winding through the trees. "Let's follow this," she said, pointing ahead. Max agreed, and they both pedaled quickly, enjoying the fresh air and the soft sound of the rain hitting the leaves above.

After a while, Emma started to feel a little faint from the effort. "Are you okay?" Max asked, looking back at her with concern. Emma smiled and nodded, even though she felt a little tired. "I’m just fine," she said. "Let’s keep going!"

As they rode deeper into the woods, they came across a beautiful sailboat drifting on the lake. The boat was gliding smoothly through the water, and the sight made Emma feel even more energized. "I think we should come back here tomorrow and sail!" she said.

Soon, they reached the end of the trail and saw a field full of grain. The air smelled fresh and sweet, and they both stopped to take in the view.

“I’m so glad we didn’t let the rain stop us,” Max said, smiling at Emma.
Emma smiled back. “Yeah, me too. I was a little afraid at first, but this was totally worth it!”
