I woke up in the morning and my mom asked me to take out trash.First ,I sorted the trash into recycling bins and threw it  away.

Then,I went to the garden and picked up some fresh herbs that we grew organically for the breakfast. After the breakfast we put the leftovers into the compost bucket. 

One of our neighbors passing by on the street saw us composting and was very interested and wanted to learn how to do it. So we decided to organize a compost workshop in our neighborhood.

On the day of the workshop, many neighbors came with food scraps, banana peels, and even old newspapers. My mom showed them how to layer green and brown materials in a compost bin.

I helped the kids decorate their compost buckets with stickers and drawings. They were so excited to take them home and start composting with their families!
