Hey ya'll! It's me, Farmer Paige. I am here, in
the city of Cotton Crossing, Erieville, and I am
here to talk about my amazing farm! My farm
is located here in Cotton Crossing because I
am near the ocean, the factories, and the
capital, which contains a village. So, I can use
the water to water my crops and send my food
through boats to the MDCs, send my cotton to
the factories to make fabric, and can sell some
of my finished products in the near by village.

My farm is 438 acres! We need a lot of land to
grow all of the cotton!

Here in Cotton Crossing, we practice a variation to
plantation farming. We specialize in growing cotton, but
we also have animals on the farm that we eat as a
source of food, that way we don't have to buy food
everyday! So we practice something like livestock
ranching, even though we are an LDC. The animals eat
the grass out in the fields. We like to call it Plantation
livestock farming, and it is only found in Erieville! We
have found this type of farming to be very successful.
We have various different forms of machinery in the
barn to help us sort out all of the cotton which helps
keep this type of farming productive and easy.

Like I have said many times throughout this story
so far, we grow cotton and raise many farm
animals. We have pigs, roosters, cows, and horses!
We raise the animals to eat, and we grow the
cotton because we have found it the most
profitable crop so far! We are subsidized by the
government just in case, if in the next few years,
the climate makes us unable to make enough
cotton to be very productive. We want to still be
able to make the money we hoped to get through
growing cotton.

Our crops are transported either by
boat, train, or truck. We usually use
either a truck or a train to send the
cotton to the factory; depending on
which kind of transportation will get
the cotton to the factory fastest. Then
we will use a truck to take the fabric
from the factory to the port. Then we
ship our fabric off to MDCs to make a
profit.
