Oliver had a problem. His
mom's birthday was coming
up and he wanted to get her
the perfect gift.

Oliver was walking home from school
one day. As he walked past Esperanza's
Grab-n-Go, he spotted a gift in the
window that he knew his mother would
love: A shiny, new snow globe. He
picked it up and walked over to the man
at the counter.

"How much is this?" he asked the man, pointing to
the snow globe in his hand. "Four dollars and
ninety-nine cents," the man answered. Extremely
excited, Oliver ran home to see how much money
he had in his piggy bank.

Oliver counted all of his money and found out that
he had five dollars and three cents, just enough!

The next day, Oliver put the money in his pocket
before he left for school. In the lunchroom, Oliver
spotted a kindergartner crying. He walked over to
the boy and asked:
"Why are you crying?"
"I forgot my lunch money at home," the boy
wailed.

Oliver remembered the five dollars he had in his
pocket. He knew he had a decision to make. If he gave
the boy his money, he would not be able to buy the
snow globe for his mom. Oliver knew what the right
choice was. He gave the money to the boy who was
able to buy lunch. Little did Oliver know, doing the
right thing would always come back in the end.

The kindergarten boy left lunch with a full belly. In the
hallway, he noticed a 5th grade girl had dropped her
library books. He stopped to help her pick them up.

After getting all of her
books, the girl started
back to her class and
along the way, caught
her 3rd grade teacher
cleaning up after a class
science experiment. She
decided to stop and help
Mr. Rodriguez clean up
the classroom.

After cleaning up, Mr. Rodriguez went to the
library to return the science books he
borrowed for the class experiment. As he was
leaving, he noticed a 4th grade student who
was frustrated with his math homework. Mr.
Rodriguez decided to sit down with the
student to explain the steps of long division.
