CHAPTER 1 - What Are Seals?
Seals have a variety of colors. Most seals are brown, black
and white. Seals are streamlined. They have sharp teeth to hunt.
Seals are mammals with whiskers, four flippers for steering, and
big eyes. All seals have thick fur to protect themselves. Male
elephant seals are the biggest seals in the world. They get their
name from their floppy noses, which look like elephant trunks.

CHAPTER 2
HABITATS OF SEALS
Many seals habitat is in the South Pole. They live in rocky
waters. Seals need their habitat because they eat, live, play and
even sleep in water. Some seals can live in certain oceans. Some
scientists believe seals can only be in the South Pole; nobody can
be sure. The Baikal Seal of Russia lives only in freshwater. Monk
Seals live in tropical waters, such as the Caribbean Sea.

CHAPTER 3
PREDATORS OF SEALS
Seals have many predators. Killer Whales, Polar Bears
and even other kinds of seals (like Leopard Seals) are
examples of their predators. Sharks are a seals worst fear,
because they attack seals the most. People don't know why
Leopard Seals can be a predator to other seals. Some of
their predators hunt the seals so much, many kinds are
starting to become extinct.

CHAPTER 4 - SEALS MEALS
Seals eat many things. They eat small sea animals and
shellfish. Such as shrimp, small squid, clams and penguins.
A seals favorite food is fish. Seals use their incredibly
strong teeth to chew through their food. Seals catch their
prey underwater, then come to the surface to eat it.
