Hydrogen was walking home from work like
any other day when suddenly he heard
screams for help in the distance.

Hydrogen says, "I better call Oxygen so we can team up and save
the victim!". Hydrogen pulled out his phone and dialed Oxygen's
number and it went to voice mail. Hydrogen would just have to
complete this mission by himself.

OXYGEN

Hydrogen called Oxygen again but a mysterious voice
answered. The voice told Hydrogen that he had 20 minutes
to meet him in the abandoned warehouse on the corner of
Helium Street and Fluorine Avenue.

When Hydrogen walked into the warehouse, he saw his
best friend and partner in crime tied up in a chair and
screaming for help. Hydrogen said with confidence,
"Don't worry Oxygen! I'm here to save you!". The same
mysterious voice yelled out, "NOT SO FAST!".

A group of elements emerged from the dark of
the warehouse. Hydrogen instantly recognized
them as Group 2 of the Periodic City Council.
They were the Alkaline Earth Metal Committee.
Their leader, Beryllium, stepped forward.
"What do you want with Oxygen?" Hydrogen
asked in a steady voice.

Beryllium explains, "As you know, Oxygen has
6 valence electrons, and we all have two. Long
story short, we need him to lead us to all the
other oxygen atoms in the world, so we can
bond with them. Then we will all be stable!".
However, Hydrogen was supposed to bond with
this Oxygen atom, after all they had been best
friends since they were little.
