Giant Pandas can be found in broadleaf or 

coniferous forests where bamboo is found. Usually 

these forests are 5,000 to 10,000 feet high. 

These forests get a lot of rain year round. When a 

Panda is in the wild, its diet is 99% bamboo. 

Occasionally they will eat small rodents or other 

grass to balance their diet. In the zoo, the 

panda eats bamboo, sugar cane, rice gruel, 

carrots, apples, and sweet potatoes.
