Summary of Mr. Monkey's Journey: 

Mr. Monkey is sad because he lost his favorite 

ball which has gone missing.   With the help of 

his friends Mr. Snake and Mrs. Ant, they travel 

to far off places to find his ball and bring it back 

home.  

One day Mr. Monkey invited his 

friends over to play ball.

"Oh no!," cried Mr. Monkey.

"What's wrong?" said Mr. Snake.

"My favorite ball has gone missing!" 

said Mr. Monkey.

"Don't worry, we will help you look 

for it!" exclaimed Mrs. Ant. 

"Look at the house up there! Maybe the ball is 

in the yard," cried Mr. Snake.

The three friends looked and looked but could 

not find the ball. 

"I don't see the ball anywhere", cried Mr. 

Monkey. 

"Don't worry, let's keep looking," said Mrs. Ant. 

"Hey maybe that bird knows where 

your ball is, Mr. Monkey!" said Mr. 

Snake.

"Let's ask!" cried Mrs. Ant.

"Excuse me Mrs. Bird! Have you seen 

Mr. Monkey's favorite ball?" said Mr. 

Snake.

"Hmm, I think I heard Mrs. Snake 

talking about a missing ball!" said 

Mrs. Bird. 

"Thanks, we will keep looking!" said 

Mr. Monkey, feeling hopeful.  

"Look there is Mrs. Snake!" cried Mr. Monkey. 

"Hello everyone!" said Mrs. Snake.

I hate to bother you, but have you seen his 

favorite ball anywhere?" said Mrs. Ant.

"I don't think I have, but I think I heard 

something about a missing ball from Mrs. 

Butterfly."

"Okay, thanks anyway" said Mr. Monkey feeling 

less hopeful. 

The three friends walked for many 

hours trying to find Mrs. Butterfly.  

Finally, they found her by the 

mountains. 

"Hello friends!" said Mrs. 

Butterfly.

"We were wondering if you have seen 

my missing ball?" said Mr. Monkey. 

"Well, I did see a ball somewhere but 

I don't remember exactly where. I 

would try in the desert just on the 

edge of the forest." explained Mrs. 

Butterfly.

The three friends left to go find the 

desert.
