First Sheep grow the wool on their body.

The sheep are then sheared for their fleece.

The fleece is then taken and scrubbed of 

impurities like dirt, food matter, excess oil, and 

manure.

Any wool that has too much dirt or other 

matter in it is cut away from the 

salvageable wool.

The wool is then cleaned again to take out 

the rest of the oil residing in the wool.

The wool is transported to businesses that will 

use the wool for yarn or other clothing.

People then buy the wool products and wear them. 

They dispose of the clothing when it begins to wear 

out, by either dumping it in a land fill or they can 

give the unwanted cloth to Good Will for someone 

else to use.
