You are all loud, crazy, and often really bad at listening,
but I love you all to bits and pieces: even if half of you
still forget my name.
Love,
Ms. Andrea

Arctic Foxes have thick, heavy fur that protects
them from the cold. Their fur is white in the
winter, but in the summer their fur turns
brown!

Brown bears live in the mountains and forests
of Europe, but you can find them in Asia,
Canada, and America too! During the winter,
brown bears hibernate until spring. That way,
they won't have to look for food in the cold
snow!

Chameleons are reptiles, and they come from
Southern Europe, Africa, and Asia. They can be
very big, or tiny (the size of your thumb!).
Some chameleons can even change colors to
blend into their surroundings.

Dormice are small, wild mice that live in
forests. Just like the big brown bear, the
dormouse also hibernates during the winter
and doesn't wake up until late spring.

English Cocker Spaniels are a medium sized
dog that comes from England. They have
floppy
ears and shiny, wavy fur. They used to be used
as hunting dogs, but now they're usually just
couch potatoes.

The Red-Footed Falcon lives in Eastern Europe
and Asia, and migrate to Africa in the winter.
These birds are soon to be endangered
because people are cutting down the trees
where they live!

The Gray Long-Eared Bat is named for is big
ears that make him easy to identify from other
kinds of bats. They eat moths and are
nocturnal, like most bats are.

Camargue horses are named after the city they
are from in France. People like these horses
because they are a pretty light gray, almost
white color when they are adults.

The Iberian Wolf is from Spain and Portugal.
They used to be a very endangered species,
but they were able to bounce back. They like
to
live in mountains with their wolf family.

Jack Russell Terriers are working dogs. They
used to protect the chickens from foxes, but
now they are mostly family friends.

The Kingfisher is a small or medium sized bird
that lives close to the water. They live near the
water because they love to eat fish!

The Ladoga Seal lives in the cold icy waters of
Russia. They are named Ladoga Seals because
they live in only one Russian lake, called Lake
Ladoga.

The European Mink likes to live close to rivers
that won't freeze in the winter so that they can
eat fish and water bugs all year.

The Norwegian Lemming likes to live in places
that are close to water. They like to eat plants
like grass and moss.

Otters are small animals that live both in the
water and on land. They eat mostly fish. They
even have webbed feet, like a duck, so that
they can swim really well!

Puffins are funny little birds that eat fish. They
hunt by diving into the water when they see
fish and grabbing them with their beaks.

Quail are fairly small birds. They kind of look
like small brown chickens, but unlike chickens,
Quail can fly, and have long wings.
