"Mom! I can't find my backpack!" Evie yelled
frantically. She was in her room getting ready for
school.
"Maybe you should clean you room!" Her mother
replied in a yell " It looks like a train wrecked in your
room when you were sleeping!"Finally she found her
backpack and hurried to the bus stop. Her mother
glanced at the clock." Tell Leon to hurry up and get to
the bus stop." Leon was Evie's older brother, He liked
to show off in front of crowds. He also had a lot of
friends. Evie dragged her brother out the door and
found her friend Francessca at the bus stop.

"Hey," Francessca said in a timid voice. She
was a shy girl with long brown hair that
covered half of her face. She didn't like to draw
attention to herself so she stayed in the
shadows reading suspense novels. She couldn't
figure out why or how her and Evie became
best friends. They were so different. Evie was a
daring and curious girl, she could and would do
anything to answer a question that she had.
Francessca often skipped lunch because of the
crowds she would have to face.

As soon as they got to school, They quickly to
walked to their classrooms to get ready for class.
Leon found his best friend Wyatt. Wyatt is the
smart one. If somebody asked him why the food
chain was so disgusting, he would give them a
perfectly reasonable explanation. Wyatt was not so
shy but couldn't stand up for himself. Once they
got to their classroom Francessca and Evie got to
work.
"Francessca," Evie said "Do you want to come
over this afternoon?"
" Sure," Francessca whispered.

As soon as the bell rang, the entire grade
rushed to the lunch room. Francessca and Evie got
their lunch, but soon dashed to the courtyard for
some peace and quiet. Not long after they sat down,
Leon and Wyatt found the two girls.
"What are you doing here?" Evie asked
annoyed.
Leon rolled his eyes, "Same as you, eating
lunch."
Evie didn't like this idea. Her and Leon didn't get
along very well.
After lunch Leon, Wyatt, Evie, and Francessca
were on their way to Evie and Leon's house.

When they were in the house, they went their separate
ways. Evie and Francessca in Evie's room, and Leon
and Wyatt in Leon's.
"Sorry about my room," Evie said " It's a little
messy." She walked to her bed hoping to find her new
suspense novel but had no luck in finding it." I had a
new book but I can't find it." Evie walked over to her
dresser to look in her music box, but it wasn't there
either.
"I'll help!" Francessca offered. They both searched
through out the room but found nothing.

Evie looked under her rug. She found her new
novel, but found something else as well. They
were wooden bars with metal wires. They had
scratches on them like they had been used.
"Leon!" Evie screamed "Leon come here
quick!" Leon came in rushing through the hallway,
with Wyatt right behind him.
"What's the problem?" Leon asked in alarm.
His face was bright red and he was ready to call
911 if anything was really wrong. He looked under
Evie's rug, and saw that it could only be one
thing."Train tracks."

"But how." Evie asked. This question was
pointed at Wyatt." Go on Mr. Smarty Pants." Evie
said. Wyatt was confused. He just couldn't think of
an explanation.
"I don't know." He whispered. Everybody was
shocked. Those words hadn't come out of is mouth
in forever.
"What?" Evie asked "You're supposed to be
some super smart person and know everything."
All of a sudden, the ground started to shake.
Immediately they took cover as if there was going
to be an earthquake. They windows flew open
revealing a dark tunnel.

All of a sudden a brilliant light lit up the tunnel
and then a whistle blew.
"Train!" Wyatt screamed"Get away from the
window!" They backed away and hid under Evie's
bed, leaving Francessca behind. She was standing
right in front of the window where the train was about
to be. She didn't know what to think. She wanted to
run but froze. The train was 20 feet away, 15 feet, 10
feet, 5 feet, 2 feet. Then it came to a halt. Right in
front of Francessca.

"Hey!" a voice called from the front of the train. The
voice was low."Can anybody tell me where I am?" The
owner of the voice walked out from behind the engine. It
was a girl she was tall and was wearing a dress with
clocks on it. She seemed lost.
"Who are you?" Evie asked in a quiet voice.
"The name's Cami." Cami answered. Evie took a
long stare at her. "Now where am I?" she asked for the
final time.
"You're in my room." Evie replied. Cami sighed.
"Come with me," Cami said "And bring something
to do, it's going to be a long ride."

"Why should we come with you?" Leon asked.
"Do you see this place?" Cami asked. "You have
nowhere else to go." The children took a long look
around. The only things that they saw were the messy
room and the tunnel.
"Where's the door?" Francessca asked in a worried
whisper.
"The only exit is the tunnel," Wyatt commented.
"Leon," Evie said "We need to go with her. Leon
thought hard.
"I guess so." Leon said. The tunnel was large. By the
time they had traveled for ten minutes, They could see
colorful lights peering through the trees.
