were Athens and Sparta. These two cities
were very different however.

the fighting. Some supported Sparta and

and Sparta's anger over Athenian control
over the Delian League.

invade Greece. The battle was fought in
a narrow pass to help the Greek's and
their small army. The battle was lost by
the Greeks.
