Once upon a time,
There was a eukaryotic cell named Caleb. He was 10
years old and loved to color, draw, and have fun with
all of his friends.

One day, after a long day at school, Caleb's parents
told him some exciting news. They told him that he
would soon have a sister.
"Wow", Caleb said, "I'm going to be a big brother!"

His parents then told him that before his
little sister came, he would have to go through
many stages called the cell cycle. Caleb didn't
understand or care, he just wanted his little
sister.

The next day, Caleb noticed that he had grew
exceptionally bigger and taller. "I wonder what's
going on", Caleb wondered. So, he asked his mother.
She, told him that he was going through interphase,
the beginning of the cell cycle.
As the day went on, Caleb went through his
normal daily routine.
That night, he started doing things twice. He took two
showers, brushed his teeth twice, and even put on two
pairs of pajamas.
"This is weird", Caleb thought, "I better ask my dad
what's going on".
He told him that this way his way of replicating he
was going through the process of synthesis
The next morning, Caleb continued to do
everything twice. He put on two outfits for
school, ate twice as much breakfast, and
brushed his teeth twice. His mother told him
that he was going through the phase of G2 and that
this was his way of making sure that everything
was properly duplicated.

As the week went by, Caleb went through the stages of
mitosis which are prophase, metaphase, anaphase,
telokinesis, and cytokinesis. As Caleb went through
mitosis, he continued his regular routines. Until the
strangest thing happened to him.
