Hi I'm Ingrid the igneous rock and I'm going to tell you how I became like this but first let me introduce you to some of my friends.

Hi I am Mark the Metamorphic rock.

And I'm Sam the sedimentary. Lets start the story

Once upon a time, deep, deep in the earth there was this thing called the core.

Now there was actually two cores. The inner core and the outer core. the inner core is a lot hotter than the outer core.

Because the inner and outer cores are so hot they make volcanoes

When a volcano erupts

it spews out lava.

When the lava cools it makes me.

Now I get to tell my story

Sometimes rocks break apart. If they break up into small enough pieces they get picked up by the wind or water.
