It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and Madison was ready for the dinner she was going to have with her family later on that day. Her mother then came in, and was mad when she saw that she was wearing jeans and a blouse rather than a dress.

On the way to dinner, Madison was still upset about having to change, and was taking this time to speak her mind.

The next morning, she refused to wear a dress to school and her mother allowed it this time. While at school, the other girls in her grade, who were all wearing dresses, made fun of her for wearing jeans and a blouse. Madison didn't let the comments make her feel bad and she stood up for herself.

She walked away feeling proud of herself for not letting the other little girls make her feel bad. The other girls stood there surprised that she had spoken up.
