She was very sad and cried all the time.

The old woman had an elder daughter who was married to an umbrella merchant.
And she also had a younger daughter who was married to a noodle vendor.

When the weather was sunny, the old woman would cry for her elder daughter who was married to the umbrella merchant.
She worried when it was a sunny day that nobody would buy any umbrellas,
She could not control her sadness for her elder daughter.

When it was raining, the old woman would cry for her younger daughter who was married to the noodle vendor.
She worried when it rained that there would be no noodles to sell as they needed the sun to dry.
She could not control her sadness for both daughters, whether it was sunny or raining the old woman cried all the time.

One day, the old woman met a monk. The monk was interested in knowing why the old woman was sad all the time.
The old woman explained her problems and concern for her daughters and why she could not stop crying.
The monk smiled at the old woman and told her he would show her a way to happiness and no longer be sad for her daughters.

The sad old woman became very excited.
The monk told her the way to her happiness was very simple. He told the old woman to look into a new perspective.
