This is Bert. Bert has a terrible fear of storms. Especially when he is home alone, and he is home alone with a storm approaching.

Bert looks out the window and sees the scary storm, "AHH!" says Bert. He tries to remember what his mom told him to do when a storm comes.

Bert remembered his first step. Pick up his cat, so he could be with someone when hiding from the storm.

After remembering his first step, he automatically remembered the next one. Hide from the storm like in a game of hide-n-seek. Hide in a place where you cannot see the storm.

Bert knew there was a third and important step, but he could not quite remember what it was.

Then Bert saw a ball on the shelf. "A Ball!" said Bert. After finding the ball, Bert quickly realized the third step was to tuck into a ball shape!

Bert and the cat tucked away into the closet to shelter from the storm.

Bert's mom came home and found Bert in the closet, "Wow good job Bert. You remembered all the steps by yourself." Mom says. "I had a little help from the things around me." Bert replied.

The storm passes through.

After the storm, Bert is able to go outside and enjoy the sunny weather!
