This story is about a detective agency that investigates the source of pollution in a public lake.

The story starts this way...

It was a fine day, the sky was an expanse of sapphire blue dotted with fluffy white clouds as the radiant rays of the sun shone brightly in the bright blue sky. Stephanie, also known as Stephi, was in the park setting up her 'detective office'. She was satisfied with her 'project.'"What do you think, Arch?"Stephi asked her dog.

On came along her friend, Nate. "Hey, Steph, do you want to come and have a ride with me?" asked Nate gleefully.

"Can't. Got a business to run," Stephi replied.

"Come for a little while,it's not that nice sitting in your office doing nothing."

"Good Thinking," Stephi said. She left a note on her office . It reads, "Out on a case,back later." Then, she rode off. "I'll race you to the lake," Stephi challenged Nate.

The two set off along the trail. Out of a sudden, Stephi put on her brakes.

" Look at that bird in the lake," Stephi exclaimed.

" It got some icky stuff on its wings. I think it would most likely be oil.

" Let's take it to the Wildlife Recue Centre," suggested Nate.

They gingerly wrapped the bird in Stephi's jacket and they took off.

When they reached the Wildlife Rescue Centre, the staff brought them to a room. "Hi, what can I do for you today?" asked a lady who was sitting in the room.

"Could you help this bird to get rid of the icky stuff on its wings?" chorused Stephi and Nate.

"Sure," replied the lady. Soon after, she brought them to a table.
