Hello, if you are reading this book then you
are a new employee here at the SCP Foundation
[Special Containment Procedure] you are either
a new Containment Guard, new Researcher, new
Mobile Task Force operative, or a new Class D
personnel. This book will tell you all you all
you need to know about the artifacts and
creatures we keep in our facility. Follow
procedure, that is the only way to keep safe,
if you do this, then no harm will fall upon
you. Please follow correct procedures that are
special for each SCP [This is what we call the
creatures] so we can ensure complete
protection. If you do not follow procedure
then your health and well being may be in
danger. If you do not follow procedure and you
come back alive, tests will be run cautionary
measures.

Safe:
Safe class SCPs such as SCP-914 are, well as the
name implies, safe. They either do not attack
at all or will attack if they are threatened to
the point of having to attack, or if they are a
artifact then they will not attack, unless you
activate it and the SCP is lethal. Lets take
SCP-914 for example, it is a very powerful
artifact that has the power to turn anything
into the following settings [See SCP-914
information sheet]. Safe class SCPs are usually
beneficial to mankind. Although some of them
are not and can be used for the worse.

Euclid:
Euclid class SCPs such as SCP-173 are named due
to behavior and how they look. Quite a few of
them are Sentient and Dangerous, but not all of
them are. There are usually procedures that are
simple and easy to follow while some other
procedures are difficult and strange. SCP-173
for example, is a tall concrete statue of a
strange being, if you look at SCP-173, you must
keep direct eye contact with it at all times,
blinking while looking at it will prove fatal to
all. If SCP-173 is staring at you, go to a door
way and keep eye contact with it and close the
door so then eye contact is broken but will be
stuck behind the door. It is not easy to
perform research on this SCP.

Keter:
Keter class SCPs such as SCP-682 are very
dangerous, or can cause severe damage in the
event of a containment breach. They are not
human friendly, some may say they are but will
take the chance to escape as soon as trust is
gained. Most Keter class SCPs must be watched
under surveillance at all times and must be
guarded by high class guards armed with standard
issue firearms. Most Keter class SCPs are
artifacts that are deadly to the world and if
stolen and used may lead to extinction of the
human race. No Keter class SCP is allowed out
of it's containment block unless research is
being conducted or a high ranking staff member
has given the word to let them enter another
containment block or is allowed to walk around
the facility with at least 5 guards surounding.

This is SCP-381, commonly referred to as "The Plague
Doctor" due to the fact that he is dressed as one
and "Knows" that the Black Plague is still here and
will rid the world of it. SCP-381's face has never
been seen before and we have recently found that his
mask and his long trench coat are part of his skin,
researchers have taken cells from his clothing and
mask and found that they are made similar to skin,
although they fell and look like cloth. He is not
known to attack but if he is removed from
containment area he must be heavily sedated and in
chains. He claims to see the Black Plague in
several of our staff including one who survived
Dr.[Data expunged] SCP-381 will reach out to who
ever he feel has the plague and touch there face,
his touch is fatal and who ever he touches will fall
ill and several [Data expunged] thus making him
lethal to all.

This SCP-682 a very hostile SCP, it is referred to
as "The hard to kill reptile" and the name says it
all. SCP-682 is a long reptilian creature that
escaped in [Please read Article-45-b for
information]. This must never happen again, as soon
as a way to destroy this SCP is found, the SCP must
be destroyed. No way to do it has been found so
far, we have tried several forms of poison, using
deadly artifacts such as SCP-173, but the attempt
proved futile. When entering room, SCP-682 must be
held down by chains and heavily sedated, heavy
dosages of sedatives must be kept in SCP-682 at all
times, especially when research is being conducted.
SCP-682 is not to be let out of containment area
without 10-20 guards surrounding it at all times
with tranquilizers and chains to hold SCP-682 down.
If this SCP ever escapes and is not found by the
Mobile Task Force [Please read Article-12-a for
information] the world will be doomed.

This is SCP-957 or referred to as "Baiting" is a
keter class SCP that is currently in a house at
[Data Expunged], Kentucky. We are currently
unable to move SCP-957 from the house due to it
having disproportionate levels of strength. It
is hostile to SCP employees, and will attack
them upon entering the home. SCP-957 is fluent
in English but will prefer to talk in a unknown
language. It has a large hole in its stomach
area, and is voided of all organs. SCP-957
needs no nourishment or sleep, it appears to be
a super humanoid being. Further data will be
collected at a later date. Not much of this
creature is know as of now.
