The Legend of Karitina

Translated from the original
Chinese folktale

Once upon a time...
....there was an old man and
woman who lived in a small small
village near the forest. They were a
very nice couple, but were lonely
wanting a child.

One day the old man went into the forest
to chop wood, while his wife had gone to
wash the laundry by the river. While the old
woman was scrubbiing her clothes she saw a
giant peach floating on the river.
Oh my, that sure is one big peach", the old
woman said. The old woman called the peach
over and the peach like magic hobbled
towards her. "This peach is one strange
peach, but it sure looks delicious", the old
woman said hoisting up the peach..

The woman strained to lift the peach up
and had great difficulty making it home.
That night, the old man was so tired,
fatigued, and hungry ready for dinner.
"Wow, how mysterious! I've never seem a
peach as big a that, but it sure looks
delicious.", the old man said.

The old couple together hoisted up the
mysterious giant peach into the home.
They slowly and carefully cutted the
giant peach. As they kept on cuttting
and cutting, they had saw that this
peach wasn't a real peach. But since
they were a curious couple they kept on
cutting and cutting....

Untill, "Wahhhhh Wahhhh", a little boy
popped out of the big peach.
"Oh my, this peach wasn't food, it was a
gorgeous baby", the old woman said. "My
my, let us raise him. I always wanted a
baby, you know.", the old man said both
suprised and happy. "Well then, the baby is
ours!", said the old woman happily.

Did you hear about
that criminal that
everyone is afraid
of?

One day when Karatina grew up at the age
of 10, he had overheard a wise couple of
people talking about a criminal in the town.
They talked about how he was murdering
people, stealing money, taking babies away,
and how people were trying to figure out
what was wrong.
