But, this wasn't enough for Captain Slade and his crew, as his mountain of treasure grew, so did his greed.

Captain Slade's loot pile grew and grew. It filled the ship and even began to get so high, it touched the sails.

Soon, the crew had nowhere to sleep and nowhere to eat because the gold filled every nook and cranny of the ship. The crew pleaded with Captain Slade to stash his gold, but he wouldn't part with a single coin.

The ship bulged and creaked and was barely staying afloat with the weight of the gold.

No matter how much the crew begged Captain Slade he always said the same thing, "I will never part with me treasure, not a single speck of gold!" "What about the ship Captain? She cant take much more of this!" The crew crew would say. But Captain Slade, stubborn as he was, said, "Shes a sturdy ship, this is nothing!" in his thundering voice.
