Mike Lupica was born in Oneida, New York May 11, 1952. After being born in New York he moved to New Hampshire where he ended up spending most of his young life as. Lupica loved to write as a kid . He even told Time For Kids that "By the time I was 11, I was writing stories." He also loved to do sports. Lupica's Education was at Bishop Guertin High School & Boston College.

If you only know Mike Lupica by his books, you don't really know Mike Lupica. Lupica started off his career writing newspapers for the New York Post, covering the New York Knicks at 23 years of age. In 1977 he became the youngest columnist ever at a New York paper with the New York Daily News. Mike Lupica has also worked with ESPN. Some of his shows with them are the Mike Lupica Show & The Sports
