Ever since the begin of days the things that are living on this earth had to eat. As the earth progressed people had started to inhibit the earth. As they got smarter they figured out a way to show what eats what in the food system. they show this by using whats known as a food web. The food web is important to every part of life. It also shows the transfer of energy from one to another.

They also figured out something that may work or be a little easier to understand for other people on earth. A graph that shows the tropic levels shows who eats what in a given example to sh who gets the most and the least amount of energy.

There are three different types of food webs.
1) Conceitedness web
2) Energy flow web
3) Functional web

Food webs are constructed to describe species interactions (direct relationships). The purpose of food webs is to show the feeding relationships between species in a given area or space.

Food webs can be used to illustrate indirect interactions among species. One example is the Keystone predation are demonstrated by Robert Paine in an experiment conducted in the rock interstitial zone.

Food webs can be used to study bottom-up or top down control of community structure. Food webs illustrate energy flow from primary producers to primary consumers.
