A decently long time ago, in a Jungle that is debatably far away...
Lived a Furcifer Chameleon. His name is Spenbendan. Spen, for short, was clever little Chameleon, he enjoyed to be quite the trickster with his camouflage.

2

As you can tell, Camouflage is a really important factor. It protects them for being seen from predator. This helps survival. This is why Spen is 12 years old and still going. The Average Chameleon is 10 years old! Spen is legend!
3
Spen was a humble chameleon. He was truly small, clocking in just below the average 27 Centimeters long. He spent most of his time dilly-dallying in the trees. Spen really never had any problems. Until....

4

Spen fell down off of his usual branch into a bush. A common predator of Chameleon are snakes. Any type of snake would just demolish spen. Unless...
5

As Spen descended into the bush he saw three little snakes. The little snakes noticed a ruffle in the leaves. They didnt see what or who was there. "Come out, we are very hungryssssssss" one snake remarked.
6

Spen was sure to be very Sneaky-Beaky when walking in through the Orchid bush. In the Rain forest there are at least 10,00 species of orchids! He was lucky to be green like the so the snakes couldn't see him.
7

Spen was able to sneak out of the snake's bush into another bush. Here it was calm, but he knew he was still in reach of birds and snakes that could come down and eat him.

8
Spen crawled through the jungle, eventually meeting some of his friends from a thousand years ago!

9
"Hey Spen" said his friend Austin. "We've been traveling through the rain forest for a while, along trees, place to place. Did you know this forest is Tijuca forest, that is 32km^2 squared? Its pretty big. Did you know we are in South America? THe more you know!"

10
"Well Austin, I'm having a problem. I fell down from my pona tree, that finally grew just above average. Tree to 30 meters. It's been my home for a bit more then three thousand years. I can't find my way up, I wondered here into the open and can't find my way back. We can be seen here. A voice from above rang. "CAHHHHH"

11

"Run" yelled Austin's companion, Mei. The big bird looked confused as the trio advanced into a green area. "This looks familiar!" Yelled Spen. "That bird will destroy us! No time to Marvel at the scenery, Spen." said Austin.

12
"Glad to see we lost the bird. Lets get you to your home Spen." said Mei. "Alright. Its a a big tree with five heliconia plants underneath. These plants look like lobster claws. There name has Greek origin."
