Bobby is a jolly, fat raccoon with a big bushy tail, a little black nose and little black feet.

One day he was walking in the woods and came across an abandoned house. It was a red house with white windows, a white door and a black roof.

Bobby decided to go inside the house to look around. He walked across the porch, through the front door, and started exploring every room.

He started in the kitchen, next the living room, and then the dining room.

He climbed the stairs to investigate the second floor. First he checked the bathroom before he climbed onto the big comfy bed in the bedroom.

After all of that looking around Bobby was really hungry. He decided to return to the kitchen to see if there was anything to eat there.

He looked in the pantry. He looked in the refrigerator. He didn’t find anything that he liked. Then he jumped onto the countertop and opened the cabinet. There were many, many cans of his favorite food, BAKED BEANS!

Bobby grabbed a few cans and took them to the front porch where he started to eat the delicious beans. When he finished the third can of beans, he yawned and felt like it was time for a nap.

He went back to the bedroom where he remembered the giant, comfy bed was located. Bobby jumped up on the bed, crawled under the blanket and went fast to sleep.

When he woke up the next morning, he thought, “Oh boy, this place is really great. I think I’m going to stay here forever.”

And he did!

Spring turned to summer and the days turned hot. Bobby ate his baked beans and sat on the front porch. Summer turned into to fall, the leaves fell from the tree, and he continued to sit on the porch eating his baked beans. Autumn turned into winter and the snows came, then the winter turned to spring, and Bobby ate his baked beans on the porch every day.

Everything was perfect until one day when a big, black truck with a black dumpster stopped in front of the house and six workmen got out of the truck. Bobby became scared, very scared.
