This is the story of how Spongebob and his friends used Religion, to save the Krabby Patty Formula from Plankton.
2

I'll give this formula back to you Krabs, but only if you explain to me the human concept of Religion!
Plankton give me back me formuler!!
This is how our heroes adventure begins. Now lets see what Spongebob and his gang can do.
3

They decided to make their way up to the real world in order to learn about all the various religions the world had to offer!
Squidward blow us some tunes and let's start this Partaaay!
Who needs religion when there's science! But I'll play along for the sake of my research

Spongebob and his friends finally arrive at their first stop. Hoping to learn about the first religion on their list. Aboriginal Spirituality.
Hey Patrick we're here let's see what we can learn from these people!
UMMMMM. OK. I wonder what their idea of God is. But first I need to pee!
5

Hey patrick, I did some research and I found out that they see God or the sacred, in all creations, like these tree's and sticks! They believe in the great spirit that inhabits all living things, this is known as Animism.
Cooool!! Haha look I'm one of them!
6

Woooow. So this is a shaman, he uses his powers to benefit the community. He probably has had knowledge passed down to him. I heard that aboriginal's don't have a sacred text like other religions, so they pass down spiritual knowledge orally, through stories and myths. This sooo coool!
7

Ahhh so these are the sacred aboriginal people. They're the elders! They are the ones who teach younger generations, and pass down knowledge. Don't forget about the Medicine Men and the Shaman who are Spiritual and Physical leaders in the community, or even the Totem Poles that protect and guard different clans. The Shaman is someone who has the authority and power to heal those who are sick, speak with the spirits in nature and teach the young ones.
8

Ohhh so this is The Sacred Pipe Ceremony they were telling me about. It symbolizes the unity and harmony of the world. Smoking the pipe involves all the elements of the earth. Fire, Water and Air.

Yeah Spongebob you're right! First the Pipe carrier prays for the whole universe to be transferred to the pipe, then all the pipe contains is delivered over the fire/ Great Spirit. Finally everything is dissolved into the cosmic unity of the Great Spirit.

Spongebob and his friends learning all they could from the Aboriginal's, decided it was time to move on to Judaism and learn it's significance.
So this is the Jewish place of worship, hmmm. The synagogue, what a beauty, if only Bikini Bottom had these beautiful things around. It isn't just a place of worship it can also be a place for rest and even a community centre.
10

Heeeeyyy Patrick, did you know the jewish God is a personal God, he is the hero of the bible stories, and the God that mentored his Chosen People. In the Hebrew scriptures his name is written as JHWH. The Jewish relationship with God is a covenant relationship.

Woahh, really well I guess he's going to have to mentor me too then! I want to be a hero!
11

From what I've learned at the Synagogue the Jews scared pieces of literature are the Tanach, Mishnah, Talmud and Midrash. Judaism is the oldest of the Abrahamic religions, and its primary sacred text is the Tanach, or the Jewish Bible, which is composed of the Pentateuch (Torah), the Prophets (Nevi'im) and the Writings (Ketuvim). Tanach is an acronym for these three books. Look's like I'm Readyyyy.
12

You won't believe what my research has revealed to me Mr. Krabs. In Judaism there are many sacred people such as Abraham, Moses God, King Solomon, Isaac, Jacob, David, and Jesus. Abraham was the founder of Judaism. Jews trace their roots back to Abraham and Moses was the man that set the Jewish free from slavery.

So this guy over here found Judaism. Pshhht well I'm the founder of the Krabby Patty.
13

Squidward! have you heard about the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah. It means "Head of The Year" it is observed for two days beginning on Tishrei, also known as the first day of the Jewish year. It is the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve. Rosh Hashanah resembles the special relationship between God and humanity.
Well Sponge-Freak did you know during Rosh Hashanah an important symbol is the sounding of the shofar (rams horn). Another ritual is to Eat a piece of apple dipped in honey to symbolize our desire for a sweet year.
14

UHMMM Spongebob where are we?
We're at the Christian's central place of worship buddy, The Church!
Spongebob and his friends have learned a lot from the last to Religion, now they have set their sights on learning about Christianity.

15

I think i'm starting to understand this religion. So Christians believe in one God. They believe that he is the creator of the universe and that he is all powerful, all knowing, and all good. They believe in the Trinity which is 3 Gods in one, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Christians believe that Jesus was our saviour and by him dying on the cross all of our sins were forgiven.
16

Hey Pat, did you know the Bible is the Christian holy text. It is divided into two parts the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament is viewed as the stepping stones and building blocks of the faith and the new testament shows the covenant God had made with the Church.
Well I know now!
17

My research has proven that there are many sacred people in Christianity some of them prophets and others saints. However the most sacred is Jesus, as he is the son of God. Jesus was known for healing others and performing many miracles, but he is seen as such a sacred being because he died on the cross for our sins and saved all of man kind. He was God himself.
18

Woahh so one of the most important Christian Holiday's is Easter. I learned that it represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ after he died for mankind's sins. It proves Jesus' victory over the temptations of evil. The week before Easter is called Holy Week, and it contains the days of the Easter Triduum, Holy Thursday, commemorating the Last Supper as well as Good Friday, commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus.
19

After Mastering the religion of Christianity Spongebob and his gang decided to pursue the significance of the Islamic religion.
So this is a Mosque. This is where Muslims come to worship their God. All these places of worship are just getting cooler and cooler!
20

Spongebob you better listen carefully because I'm not repeating myself. Islam's idea of God is represented by Allah. Islam means "submission to God". Islam follows the concept of Tawhid, which means 'oneness'. Tawhid is the idea that there is one God and teaches that oneness is the nature of Allah. According to Muslims, Allah has no partners, they only have one God that they praise 5 times a day.

Wooow, I can't believe it. I'm learning something new every day in this world, forget Mrs. Puff maybe I'll learn how to drive here!
