The purpose of it was to forbid any colonist
to go past the Appalachian mountains in America after the
French and Indian War. The British colonists were
angered that England was controlling what america could and
couldn't do. This was one of the first sparks to the
American Revolution.

very angered by this because the soldiers cost them more
money to maintain everyone living in the house then, plus they had to pay taxes.

diplomas, death certificates, things like that. The English wanted the
American colonists to pay their fair share of taxes, but to the Americans
it seemed a little like they were being treated unfair compared to what
England's residents had to pay. The Americans were being overtaxed and
they were upset about it. It would be a little later before they showed their
anger towards the British.

first stated that New York's assemblies over the unfairness
of the Quartering act were suspended. The other laws, put
taxes on lots of goods imported into the colonies, such as
paper, glass, tea, paint, and lead. To enforce this acts British
officers would get "Writs of Assistance" or search warrants
to check people houses for smuggled goods.

laborers that were working in America and "redcoats"- British
soldiers. Then the fight got so insulting that the British officers
fired their rifles and killed four laborers. The news was spread
and after this incident the americans had a reason to call Britain
"tyrants" this incident was used every where for anti-british things
and was a major contributor to the American revolution.

acts except they still taxed Tea. Tea was very popular
in the colonies, and most of it was smuggled from
Holland. So what the Tea act did is it put a regulation
on the Tea trade, Every product of Tea would arrive in
Colonial ships and be sold there by colonial merchants.
People who didn't have to pay a tax on Tea now had to
because all Tea was imported from Britain. Nowhere else.

was tired of being taxed without having a say in it. On December
16, 1773, 342 boxes of Tea were thrown into Boston Harbor, for
they were so enraged at Britain for trying to control America when
they had no say in it whatsoever. Not only was Britain mad they
were furious, they demanded repayment for all the Tea destroyed
and wanted the men responsible for organizing it put to trial.

had closed Boston Harbor until the Tea was to be paid for. Some other
acts banned committees of correspondence, housed troops where ever
needed, and let British officials stand trial in Britain if they were a
accused of a crime. To make sure all these acts were enforced Britain
sent over General Thomas Gage to be governor of Massachusetts.

On April 19,1775 at the town of Lexington, 800
British troops arrived upon 80 militiamen of the
American Army. The British told them to lower
there weapons, they refused. Within the first few
minutes 8 militiamen lay dead. The British then
marched on to Concord and destroyed American
military supplies. At the bridge north of town there
was a battle that broke out. 4000 militiamen and
minutemen arrived after the British retreated and
lined the road from Lexington to Concord hiding in
trees and bushes and started firing at the British
soldiers, if there hadn't been 1000 more British
troops arriving the Americans probably would've
annihilated the British.
