"The most important thing you can give someone is a chance." Unknown
I was a really cute puppy. I don't know why my family always kept me outside. After a couple of lonesome years they brought me to the shelter. I've been here off and on for the past five years. I just want a place to call home.
Since I've been here I've seen many friends come and go. I get out of the kennel every now and then but so far nobody wants to adopt me. Guess I'm not what they're looking for. I spend a lot of time sleeping. Think I'll take a nap now actually.
I started to feel sad having to spend most of my time in the kennel. I liked to sleep because it helped pass the time. Sometimes I would have amazing dreams that felt so real, only to wake up alone in my kennel.
I felt a cold draft in my kennel so I removed my sleeping mask and looked for a blanket. When I opened my eyes all I could see around me was a bright blue sky and white fluffy clouds.
"Life hasn't been very fair to you has it my furry friend? Well, I'm about to change that. I'm taking you on the adventure of a lifetime." Who was this guy? And more importantly, where were we going?
"What's your name by the way?" he asked. "I never really had one. Hey! I can talk. But that's impossible. I'm a dog." "Whenever someone is given a chance anything becomes possible." "Like a dog talking?" "Exactly."
"There's so much more to the world than staring at the walls of a cold, sad kennel. I'm going to take you to places that you won't believe." Wow! We were in outer space and there was the moon, so close that I could reach out and touch it.
"Can we go walking on the moon?" I asked. "Absolutely. You're going to have a future brighter than all of the stars in the sky. Trust me. Speaking of stars, ladies and gentleman.......Sting!" "Enjoy your adventure lads."
