When the sun goes down. When the moon goes up. When the stars shine brightly in the sky. That is when something marvellous happens. To all of the adults in the world they have no idea that every night a special friend comes and visits one lucky child. 

Every night one fortunate child all over the world gets to go on an adventure. Sometimes it’s a trip on a rocket ship through the stars to the moon. Sometimes it’s an underwater sea discovery.

Sometimes it’s a midnight hot air balloon ride over the twinkling lights of the city below. The adventure does not matter. What matters is the precious time this child gets to spend with this special friend.

And just who is this special friend? Someone only children can see. Someone that makes each and every child feel special. Someone that brings joy and adventure to every night. That special friend is known as Blue Lion to children all over the world. 

Blue Lion is only visible to children, because he’s invisible. It doesn’t matter that he is invisible, because the adventure and joy that he brings to the children is very much real. Tonight, one lucky little girl in Los Angeles, California will be chosen for a marvellous adventure. That lucky little girl’s name is Abby Stewart. 

At five years old she has a wonderful collection of horses and dolls. She has a Mommy, a Daddy and two brothers.

As she sleeps in her soft and warm bed, she has no idea tonight will be her night. What begins as a shimmer quickly grows into a glow of warm light at the foot of Abby’s bed. Within that glow appears a very special friend known as Blue Lion.

Blue Lion goes over to the bed and sits down on the edge of it. He places a gentle blue paw on Abby’s shoulder as he says. “Abby, wake up. It’s time for an adventure.”

Abby slowly opens her eyes and a huge smile spreads across her face. “Blue Lion, is it really you?” She asks.

“It is. Are you ready for an adventure?” Blue Lion asks with a warm smile. “Yes please. Where are we going?” Abby asks as she sits up.

“On a magical adventure. We have to get ready first. We’re going on a trip through the stars to the moon.” Blue Lion answers. “Really?” Abby asks as her eyes glistens with excitement. “Really, really.” Blue Lion says with an amused smile.

Blue Lion gets up and off the bed. He holds his paw out to Abby who takes it easily. “We have to get our space suits on so we can be safe in space.” Blue Lion said. With a twinkle two space suits appear hanging on the wall. One the perfect size for a little girl and the other the perfect size for a lion. With their space suits now on Abby spoke.

“How are we getting to space Blue Lion?” “Why a rocket ship of course. But I need your help.” Blue Lion answers with a Sparkle in his eyes. “Help how?” Abby asks confused. “Close your eyes.” Blue Lion instructs. Abby closes her eyes and Blue Lion speaks once again.

“Imagine the black night sky. Imagine the stars shinning brightly. Imagine the burning sun and mesmerizing moon.” 

“Now imagine you are in a rocket ship traveling through those brightly shinning stars. Traveling through Outer Space. Looking down at the Earth below.”

“Now open your eyes Abby.”
