KING GEORGE THE 3rd
The king was 23 years old when he took the throne in Britain. His grandfather left it for him. His father died when he was just a boy. He help Great Britain fight the American Revolution. He came into the American Revolution in 1763. He did his part and served his country.
THE STAMP ACT
The Stamp Act happened on March 22, 1765. The Act was for a tax on paper. It was the first tax for on anything paper. The money from the tax didn't go to the colonies. It went to the British government.
THE BOSTON TEA PARTY
The Boston Tea Party happened on December 16, 1773. The colonist dressed up as Indians/ Native Americans. then they boarded a ship filled with hundreds of boxes filled with tea. They decided that they would through it all into the harbor. They wasted hundreds of dollars on throwing out tea.
GEORGE WASHINGTON
He was the leader of the american troops in 1775. Also known as the first president, but that's later in history. Also won from the British because they gave up {waved the white flag}. HE started off fighting for the British and the came to the American side to fit for us. when he was president he was also known as the "Constitutional Convention." Because he tried to make peace between each political parties.
THOMAS JEFFERSON
He was a leading figure in the American Revolution in 1775. He also wrote our freedom from Great Britain. He wrote the document in 1776. He was also a U.S president. He was president from March 4,1801 to March 4, 1809.
