For Aubrey, my best friend.

Once upon at time, there was a bunny named Lilly, she lived in a forest. She went to a school with lots of animals. There were squirrels, birds, beavers, deer, raccoons, and dogs. All the other animals had friends, but not Lilly, she had no friends. She was sad and lonely.

At school Lilly tried playing with the other animals, but they did not want to play with her because Lilly was a bunny.
At recess Lilly had an idea. She would dress up as a beaver and try to trick the beavers into letting her play with them. But Lilly's big feet and long ears stuck out.

Late in the afternoon, Lilly thought about how much fun she could have if she had a bunny friend. She could kick the ball and have sleepovers with her bunny friend. They could also help each other collect carrots from the garden to eat together. Thinking about all the fun made Lilly really wish she could make a friend with one of the other animals at her school.
