I hope the scientists are wrong about the upcoming solar storm

It all began one day, in the month of January, during the year of 2053, where it was a normal winter day in the northern hemisphere. Scientists from the year of 2016 have predicted a Solar Storm or Giant Solar Flare that would occur during 2053, and people were getting worried, while the current day scientists said that there was no harm to come in this year. They would wish that they were wrong.

I can't see anything without the electricity! Where are rest? are they dead?

The Solar Flare had occurred on Friday the 13th, during the month of January. The Solar Flare was so severe that the climate had drastically changed, and the power of electricity was knocked out, worldwide, with no chance of coming back. Many deaths had occurred because of this, and nearly 2.5 billion people had died.

The surviving humans had decided to cut down more trees, to satisfy their needs, as the power of electricity was gone. People had cut down so many trees that, places where lush forests used to be, had become barren deserts. Animals were on the verge of extinction as their homes were being destroyed more frequently.

Soil degradation and erosion had also occurred because of deforestation. While the solar flare may not have been the reason of how all humans died, but humans were the main reason for their deaths.
