It all started one day when Lily, came to school feeling down. Gracie asked her what was wrong but, Lily just smiled and said "i'm just tired."

Are you OK?

I'm fine, just tired.

As the school week went on, Lily was only feeling worse. Gracie and her friends started to get worried. When they asked if she was OK, but Lily always said "I'm fine, just please leave me alone."

I'm fine, please leave me alone

Are you sure you're OK? You seem sad.

For the next week or so, Gracie and her friends left Lily alone. But they saw doing that only made it worse. So, they decided o have a picnic and discuss why they think she was acting this way.

At the picnic, they talked about what they thought. They all agreed that they should talk to an adult.

So, then we all agree that we should talk to an adult.

So, when they went home they talked to an adult. They told their parents, who talked to the school.

At school the next day,they saw Lily crying, SO MUCH. There was a large puddle of tears around her. Gracie , tried to give her a hug but only got pushed away and made her cry even harder.

Gracie walked up to her friends" Is she upset we talked to someone, to help her??" she asked her friends. A bunch of other cats came outside looking at them in awe, and wondering what's going on.

Gracie hobbled of to the nurse's office, while Lily just continued to cry and cry. The nurse told Gracie to take it easy, but she would be OK.

You'll be Ok. Just take it easy.

As Gracie was walking out the doors of the school, she couldn't help but hear Mr. Lander's voice- the principal of Smart kitty elementary- was talking to Lily who was still in tears. Her fur now completely wet.

MR. LANDER

So tell me what's been bothering you lately?

"Well....i've been struggling in school trying to keep my grades up, but as you can see failing. And, I...well I feel like Gracie and her friends just don't like me anymore. I just don't know what to do....." Soon Lily was back in tears.

MR. LANDER

Gracie couldn't believe what she was hearing.

She really wished she would've knew this.

She would have helped Lily with her work , and hung out with her more.
