It was a beautiful Monday morning and Animae was getting ready for school. She goes to school at Princeton Plainsboro Middle School, a big school located in New York City. The school holds about 20 classrooms and has about 500 children for each grade. Animae feels like two peas in a pod with the school. She also loves coming to school each day because she gets to see her friends and hang out with them.

Animae loved this school. She had a lot of friends too. One of which was her best friend but she had died of cancer. Animae would cry a river when she thought about her friend. She wanted to find a new best friend, even though she knew that her new friend would not compare to her old one.

Animae was lonely after her friend died. So, she decided to sit at a new table during lunch and try to make a new friend. So, she decided to sit by the new girl. Her name is Patricia. They started to talk to each other and they later became friends.

Animae told Patricia that she had other friends too. So, the next day they sat by Animae's other friends. Patricia was a little nervous at first but by the time lunch was over, they were all friends.

That weekend they all had a sleepover at Animae's house. They all wore Batman pajamas too. Animae's mom and Patricia's mom were talking for a while. They became good friends too.

So, Patricia and Animae were now best friends. But, Animae kept thinking about Olive, her old friend. She thought Olive wouldn't want this. So, Animae started being mean to Patricia. Patricia became very confused. So, she decided to find out what was going on. But, what she gets told by a few people leaves her in shock.

That next day Patricia went to go talk to Animae. She told Animae that she wasn't mad or upset but she wanted to know why Animae had decided to take it out on her. She told Animae that she thought this would be what she wanted for Animae, to be happy. So, after a little more talking, they became friends again.

Now that they wee friends again, things went back to normal. They had sleepovers, invited each other to their birthday parties, and many more things that best friends do with each other. And they have continued to do so for many more years.
