Hi my name is Bessie!
I am a cow that had given milk to my farmer everyday, during the war he was always happy when he came to see me every day.
After the war he was still coming to see me as much as he was before. One day he stops coming all together, I don’t think anything about it till I go up to the house and saw the farmer sitting in his kitchen looking at a important looking paper.
The farmer looks up to see me, he smiles and I feel a little better. The farmer comes out to spend time with me, he explains that they are going to have to sell my brothers and sisters.
The Uncle, named Sam, who had been buying my milk doesn’t have the need for as much milk as the farmer was producing anymore. To be able to keep the farm the farmer had to unfortunately sell some of my brothers and sisters, to different farmers.
He promised that I would be able to go see my brother and sisters that are just down the street. For a about a month I go and see my family, who is on Farmer Bob’s farm.
I go to see them one day, it is just like every other day, hot and dry, I am on my way back from seeing them when out of nowhere this big black cloud appears out of nowhere. I can not tell which way is up and down, let alone my way home.
